Kintampoo Rural Bank Limited is seeking to employ qualified professionals / persons to fill the following position: Assistant Internal Auditor
Job Summary
• Assist the internal auditor in establishing an effective and adequate internal control system that seeks to ensure that resources are safeguard, records are accurately and reliably kept and work in done efficiently and effectively in compliance with the bank's policies banking regulations and internal standards
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the internal auditor in ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Banking, Laws, the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) as well as directives and procedures established by Bank of Ghana, ARV Apex Bank Ltd and the policies of the Bank
• Appraise, from time to time the effectiveness of internal controls in place and propose new ones for consideration by the Internal controls in place and propose new ones for consideration by the Internal auditor
• Take active part in the preparation of draft reports and assume an active role in the discussion of recommendations and remedial actions with the appropriate level of management
• Help create a control environment that will detect and avoid any fraud
• Design work prepare that clearly document the evidence of audit work performed and conclusion drawn
• Participate in field work as appropriate to ensure quality of staff work and procedures
• Follow up on previous findings to ensure that corrective actions have been taken
• Deputise for the Head of Internal Auditor when necessary
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned
Required Competencies

• Good interpersonal communication and report writing competencies
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Auditing
• At least 2 years continuous post-qualification experience in any of the following fields, internal audit function, Risk Management, compliance, forensics from any institution preferably a rural banking environment
• Very conversant with T24 Banking software
